Axle stands and jacking points

Hi,
About to jack up car for first time. I see jacking points are identified in the handbook, but wondering where is safe place to put axle stands while I change wheels etc. Where do you place them without risking damage to floor or cills etc?

I use a 'hockey puck' with a groove cut in on my trolley jack to jack at the strengthened seam.
