Will it have any effect on my warranty if I get Autoglass to replace it and not a dealer?

The guy from Autoglass that fitted my windscreen last weekend was spot on, very skilled and no sign it has been replaced.

We have an issue with our screen, when we bought the car from Volkswagen last May it had new wipers fitted to it, but the tech didn't secure the drivers side properly and now its scratched the screen badly, with all the rain we didn't notice for ages and by then it was too late, I dont know what the MOT rules are with regards to this, does anyone know?
