Hi I am new to this forum can any one recommend a good insurance company to insure my 1990mk2 gti?

HIC/Greenlight/Flux/Brentacre - the usual suspects. Just remember to go the 'agreed value' route otherwise you may not receive what you expect in the event of a total loss :)
