Try confused.com its pretty good for changing things around and seeing what prices you get back.

and tbh ive found that most ins companies wont insure you unless you are above a certain age and have so many NCB as well

back on topic £2500 for insurance is mental. get on confused.com or similar and look at other companies. if you decide to front, then the most sensible thing to do is to remove all evidence of it from public forums, and choose your words very carefully when dealing with the insurance company.
