advice for you all
« on: 11 November 2013, 21:23 »
when doing insurance quotes, try different jobs and different industries. (obviously ones that are applicable to you)

I have tried:
Job:
design engineer
electrical designer
industry engineer
engineer

sector:
petrochemicals
chemical engineering
chemicals
engineering

all of which are applicable and there is over £100 difference between the most expensive and cheapest.

guess it wownt be much of a difference for the older members, but the young uns like me it can make a big difference.

literally saved myself over £100 in 5 mins.

also ironically, what iv bee putting down for the last 4 years was the most expensive one  FS

If you are not truthful, you commit criminal offences and the insurance is invalid.

Might be worth noting that we have just had to void a claim for a £5.5k show car as the owner had done exactly this.

All the information needs to be accurate and correct or you could leave yourself like this guy, and with nothing.

Saving yourself £100 could end up losing you A LOT in the long run!

That's some harsh underwriting  Unless the claim was directly relating to the non-disclosure of material facts?

Either way, probably best not lie on insurance. I've seen/dealt with a lot of non disclosure to know it's not worth the risk.
