Race Chip Galaxy
« on: 07 November 2018, 14:01 »

Hi, not posted much here.

I have seen this tuning unit from Race Chip Galaxy - OBD3.
www.racechipgalaxy.com

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Price wise it knocks the socks off its competitors.

I have a Mk7 GTI PP (2013) so if it improves by 30% as advertised it should produce 299bhp.

Here's how I would approach this:

Have I heard of them? No.
What does a search tell me? Basically nothing, as if they only just started out.
Where are they based? No contact address details, ie no physical location provided.
Where is the site hosted? Ireland.
The 'about us' page? Not exactly convincing.
The ebay and amazon links? Don't work.
The copyright claim of 2008-2018? Is false, the domain was only registered in 2014.

Now lets get on to the product itself.
This is an ODB plug in gadget that works on ANY car from 1999 onwards. ANY car will have it's performance improved by this 159 euro product.
This is an interesting claim "OBD Chip Tuning Boxes do not exceed manufacturer’s requirements working only within the tolerance of the engine." So within this device, there are somehow the 'manufacturer's requirements' of every single vehicle made since 1999.
