Indium Grey New Car Detail (Photo’s Restored)
« on: 28 January 2018, 19:08 »
Finally got around albeit 3 weeks after I picked it up to give it a thorough clean and polish  :smiley:
Started with a spray of bilbury wheel cleaner then snow foam using Valet Pro PH Neutral allowed to dwell for 10 mins then rinse off, next up a dose of Valet Pro Citrus pre clean  applied with the snow foam lance and then rinse followed by a squirt of Auto Finesse Iron Out which didn’t reveal any great amount of contamination 👍 rinsed off again then continued with a two bucket wash using DoDo Juice Born To Be Mild shampoo with a WoWo Lambswool mitt, rinsed off with an open hose and then used my Metro Vac sidekick to blast off the water leaving me to dab off what water was left with a plush WoWo drying towel. Had a good check to see if there was any bits to correct (one small mark easily removed by hand) then applied a coat of Swissvax cleaner fluid from a kit I received as a gift then applied a coat or two of Swissvax Onyx wax to complete👍 Wheels removed and polished then applied a coat of Poor-boys wheel Sealant. Hoovered Out, windows cleaned with Autoglym Fast glass and applied a coat of Meguiars Endurance tyre Gel to finish.
End results !!

Not too bad to be honest the smaller holes are a little bit awkward to get around the insides but happier now I have had them off and given them a good coating of wheel sealant which should keep repelling the crud for a few months.

@JB GTI; great effort.

After seeing yours and Jim_mk7.5’s Indium Grey GTI’s, I think that Indium Grey has recently become my favourite colour for the GTI.
