Mitt for wheel washing
« on: 11 December 2017, 15:49 »
I've looking for a wool mitt for washing the wheel face, has anyone come across this place on their travels?

Or can recommend somewhere else?

I prefer one that completely covers my hand as the back plates on the brakes can be a bit vicious

This one does the job - https://wo-wo.co.uk/collections/wo-wo-car-detailing-products/products/microfibre-wheel-wash-mitt

They also do a kit with the mitt, a small mf drying towel and some cleaner for £19.99 which seems very good value.

+1 for the Wo-Wo wheel mitt. Good quality, and combined with my Wheel Woolies, I’m able to get the wheel barrel and the backs of the wheel spokes clean too without having to remove the wheels.

+2 for WoWo Wheel Mitt, and their Wheel Towels too. Both are superb and if looked after last and last. Staple items in my detailing gear.

Thanks for the replies.  Please excuse my lack of knowledge but the wowo one I found is microfibre, would that have a deep enough pile to be able to cope with cleaning a dirty wheel and not scratch it, this would be against the standard gloss black spokes.

Yes, the microfibre is perfect for wheel cleaning, just make sure you rinse well as you would with a mitt for the bodywork.  I’ve used WoWo Wheel mitts for years in both gloss, black wheels and silver and no scratching.
