Almost the same thing happened to me with my new van, parked outside big macs and returned to the van, it had the front bumper torn off and they had cut out the power steering pump about 2.5k of damage to a three month old van and no cctv to catch them.

I hope its as good as new when you get it back.

Is it people stealing these parts to make their 1.0 litre variant look like a performance model?

Was in traffic this evening and meet a tungsten sliver(I think) R with a diesel engine. Nearly everything was there, lights front and back, bumpers, exhaust and Prets. Not sure on the interior but the brakes and diesel noise gave it away.

I wonder where all those bits came from?

Last weekend I saw a car with Golf R double U lights but a GTI badge  It had no GTI wing or rear badges. It had a double exhaust like a GTI, but they were ovals.

Last Friday I saw a GTD with Cadiz alloys and a GTI style exhaust.

The best I say was a car that looked like a GTD in every way except for the single black exhaust pipe.

There certainly seems to be plenty of people modifying their cars to look like the GTI/GTD/R.

Yeah but where are they getting the parts?
