howdy

ive just bought a mk2 16v gti , tis mint apart from the fact the wheels could do with a bit of a refurb, dont have the cash to get them done properly at the mo, is there any such products anyone knows of, where you can just sand down and paint over the bad bits, or anyhting like that at all

cheers rob

I did mine with rattle cans and made them look  (even now they still look fine desite the wheels coming off many times using wheel killing tools!!) here's my home refurb thread http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=82219.0

Are they BBS RA's???   Very difficult to sand due to all the small gaps. An alternative would be to get them sand blasted (much cheaper than a wheel refurb) and then paint them yourself.

yeah conker they are, was just wondering how much work it would be to get in all the nooks and crannys, have you any idea of the top of your head how much sand blasting is,  will go and do a search
