How to remove polish from trim?

Got loads of polish on my window seals and black exterior trim.  I have heard people recommend peanut butter but it just isn't doing the job.  Any recommendations?

With the amount of plastic and rubber on a Mk2, I've tried loads of things. The best solution for me (mainly because I use autoglym SRP as my usual polish) is autoglym's bumper care, as its specially made to remove the SRP stains. A pencil rubber is supposed to be good, and I've also used a toothbrush and a little WD40 (although this removes wax too so be careful).

Peanut butter didn't really work for me.

Peanut butter - great sexual lube, not so great at removing polish.

Thinners on a rag works for me (but stings like a b!tch if you put it on your knob)

Just get a pencil eraser on it then dress as normal. Does the job!

APC with a soft brush, failing that, Black WOW! - not cheap but does look the nuts and lasts!

I'm sure some pro detailer "Guy" was going to give a review on this stuff after several months of wear and tear! I guess he must of forgot??  :grin: :grin:
