Mobile abroad
« on: 08 July 2014, 12:49 »
what do you guys do when abroad wanting to use mobile (im not talking about using mobile constantly, just a few texts a day to the other half/rents or a 5 min phone call)

was thinking of trying to get a deal or sim with unlimited internet or texts that i can use for the two weeks im there to allow me to have a quick chatt with the other half/parents and let them know im ok etc.

normally i use a pay as you go sim, stick £20 on and that just about lasts the whole ten days meaning i can call my mom and let her know im alive, but this time i have the gf and the rents to call and im going away for two weeks so will cost even more.

im on tmobile so if anybody works for them and is able to do a deal pm me ;) iv had a look at there bundles but they all seem to be for the day only, therefore meaning i will have to buy a bundle every day....

Use Skype and what's app over wifi, all of which is free. Just as long as you can get wifi somewhere lol

My girlfriends in Greece for 4 months, that's all we have been doing.  Hasn't cost us anything yet, she gets wifi in the local pub for free

3 now offer the same rate as home, using your call allowance, and data in any country they have a presence. We are in the US and can use our phone to call the UK at no cost.

Look for the "Roaming information & prices" section.
