Not working for me either.

This is a bit long winded, but right click on the image, then save it in your photos, then uploaded into photobucket and post it from there.

With 19's if your car has been lowerd you might get rubbin on the arches.. Especially with 9.5 rear's

No worries....but I dislike them so Monza or BMW CSL and the bmw are going at a good price on ebay for about 389.00 which is great. Just dont know if 18 or 19 to go for an also 8j or 9.5j ?
Title: Re: What wheels are these

18's with 8.5j
Title: Re: What wheels are these
Post by: jonesltd on 10 February 2012, 15:46
Ok so 18" with 8.5j - nice ride..? I want to avoid as much as I can lowering it as currently my mk4 is on 17" and slammed as I dont really want much gap between wheel and arch or at least it looking like a jeep
Title: Re: What wheels are these
Post by: GTI:Gibbo on 10 February 2012, 15:53
The ride all depends on how your thinking about lowering it.. stock suspension is always a nicer ride but if you go for a suspension set up with smaller springs the ride will be just that little bit harder but you will notice the difference in handling and your car will be lower. Coilovers are alot harder than springs & shocks.. Mk6 stock will be quite high so a 40-45mm drop will look spot on and not be a hard ride.

I got these band new for £650 from a forum member.....(http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy301/SWIFTGTS/VW%20GTD%202012/Monza5-2.png) keep your eyes peeled on ebay as they come up often, i find.....a set was sold just yesturday for £500ish but weren't brand new...but still a good price for oem's

So 18inch or 19inch to look spot on? Want BMW staggered with 9.5 rears. Would I need a kit to have these on the vw mk6?
Title: Re: What wheels are these

Yes, but don't do it.

We're all boring farts on here and don't like VWs getting messed up with non OEM junk.

Just for your reference I got a quote for the wheels from VMR Wheels....and it is as follows.

Hi there

I'm interested in the V710 wheels but at the moment don't know what colour yet.....

What I would like to know is if the V710 alloys will fit a 2012 VW MK6 Golf...?

And if they do how much would they cost??

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your email and interest in our wheels. Here is our recommended sizing for your MK6:

v710's
18x8.5 +45 - $800/set
Shipping & Handling - $99/set without tires, $150/set with tires

Our recommended sizing will fit on your car without any rubbing issues or anything of that nature if your car is at stock height. If your car is lowered, there are too many variables for us to say it won't rub. Let me know if you have any other questions or if you're ready to order and I'll gladly help you out. Thanks Steve!

Ok thanks for the info. Most wheels I am now looking at are 8jf and 9jr?
Title: Re: What wheels are these
Post by: mkviken on 11 February 2012, 11:51
i wouldn't go wider that 8". you can stretch the standard tyre on that rim no bother but anything above will be a bit much
Title: Re: What wheels are these
Post by: jonesltd on 11 February 2012, 23:51
Ok shall stick to 8j f&r..... and go 18"s
Title: Re: What wheels are these
Post by: mkviken on 12 February 2012, 10:46
standard 18" are 7.5" but not many aftermarket wheels come in that size but 8" would be fine - your standard tyre size will fit and it won't rub.
