My GTI is gone, but new car arrived today...
« on: 05 June 2018, 19:23 »
My Indium Grey Mk7.5 went on Friday last week as it was a company car and had a change of jobs.

It’s been a fantastic car to run and was sad to drop it off...

But every cloud, and in this case a Tungsten Silver lining...

Here is my new company car... 16 Miles on the clock so feels very different to my last GTI.

Literally arrived this afternoon so will be detailing it this weekend.

Here’s a couple of snaps this evening:

Looking forward to getting to know it. Already miss the upshift parps but hoping it will come alive when run it.

Yes, it does look a little like Limestone Grey to me too, but lighting conditions can play tricks. Jim’s ‘old’ Indium Grey GTI in the first picture looks a bit like Carbon Grey to me.

Maybe I need to take a trip to Specsavers.........

Cheers guys. Yeah it does looks a bit like Limestone in those pics. The sun was out at 5pm. Just got back from popping out and it’s looks much silvery now..

Both 7.5 PP and both DSG? If so in what way does the car feel different? Plain curiosity

Previous was std with 6-DSG and this one Performance with 7-DSG.

I’ll wait to comment properly although I know a previous thread did the same comparison.

Intially though the car feels much light, steering even in sport doesn’t seem as weighty. No DSG farts so missing those already but more engine and exhaust noise and less fake noise in the cabin (even in sport).

Discovered earlier - no under seat storage drawers?! Kept my ice scraper in there
