Helix programming dongle
« on: 04 June 2018, 16:35 »
It is with a very heavy heart  that the Polo blue gt has gone. It went with the helix sub still fitted as I did not get chance to remove it. I have kept the programming dongle to try and make a few quid on it as I know they are in high demand. I do not have the lead to connect it to the amp in the sub as mine had the demo switch fitted in the glove box so the lead ran through the car into the switch. I have tested the dongle (for the first time) and all works ok. I actually found the sub to be programmed to the golf but that’s Volkswagen techs for you. I am wondering if anyone can confirm that a normal Ethernet network cable can be used as it is the same connections (RJ45).

Any advice on this? If it is not a standard network cable could someone please tell me the pin configuration and I can make up a lead to suit.
