Replacing/Upgrading Sat Nav/Radio screen
« on: 30 December 2017, 23:01 »
Hi,

I'm a newbie, so sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I have a 2014 Golf GTI with the satnav system with the smallest of the screens and would like to get the larger screen, is it as simple as waiting on ebay for a larger screen and simply swap it or is there more to it than that?

Any advice you provide would be appreciated.

TIA

Dan

I have just done exactly that. Had a 5.8" screen with a MIB1 unit and retrofitted an 8" screen, MIB2 unit & USB socket/harness.
If anyone needs any info on it I will try and answer based on my experience.

Steve.

Interested in hearing what part numbers you used? Particularly the trim panel part number for GTI/GTD, with the carbon effect. Can you help? Thanks
