Bora V5 - MOT Passed, Headlights Sorted. Kinda.
« on: 17 October 2013, 10:25 »
As some may know, I have a new car, spec as follows:

1999 Bora V5 (150ps)
73K on clock
Climate Control
Immaculate paintwork

Love the drive, great engine and makes a lovely sound. Plans initially are keep it looking clean and tidy, then get some wheels and suspension on it.

Need to get rid of that god awful walnut trim too!

A couple of pics (V5 plate isn't on there anymore).

Who told you that? This is my first Bora but thought I'd get one that wasn't crap.  Follow suit mate, I miss my MK3 but the cabin is so much nicer in the Bora / MK4.

Aero wipers

Will be eventually, plenty of small things to do but priorities first.

Check the tool kit is complete, many people hang on to the pipe and slippers which come with it

I did check in the spare wheel well and funny enough there were brown slippers, a dressing gown and a packet of Werthers Originals!

That's alright mate, the difference is the 1.6 was a bad choice.

Well done for turning 55 years old

Cheers.

Well I have been out for a proper good drive today, and I love it. I know it's not loads of power but it's consistent and just there. Oh and that noise, 1st, to 2nd, to 3rd, even putting my foot down in 5th was a joy.

I'm already itching to mod it now, mainly wheels and suspension. Will see how it goes but those two things would make me a lot happier.

Hey!!! I didn't buy a 1.6!!!  I got the mighty 2.0 petrol  .

On another note, everyone said "you'll be back" but since getting the bora I haven't looked back. I'd like a v5 or v6 bora, but the £400 2ltr will do me, as I passed my bike test and bort a brand new bike :afro:
