Title: Sealing wheels

Just got my car back (MK7PP) and had all 4 Austin alloys re-furbed - can anyone recommend some good products to seal them and keep them looking good?

I use Gtechniq C2v3, very easy to apply and can be used on glass or the whole car if you want to. They also do some wheel specific stuff which I've not tried but gets rated well. Have a look on the Clean Your Car website, plenty of options and reviews too :smiley:

Thanks for the replies guys. GTechniq gets good reviews. Not sure I can bring myself to buy something called 'Rim Coat'...

One more Q - with the C2V3 - if using on bodywork can you use it on top of wax or is it for use instead of wax?

You can wax over it if you want but not the other way round. I first used the C2v3 on the car and a Hi Temp wax on the wheels but after a suggestion on here I swapped over and do prefer waxing the car instead. But it is very easy to apply and might be worth trying. Very good on glass though, including the windscreen, water beads and runs very well although it can be a bit distracting watching the water move around while driving :rolleyes: :smiley:
