As any one had rim bands fitted to mk7 gti Austin allloy wheels?

Not quite the same but I was going to get Alloygators fitted to my Monza alloys but I had very big concerns and at the last minute decided not to have them fitted as the manufacturer would/could not make any guarantees when it came to high speed/high sustained speed. The thought of one hitting the side of the car at speed.....
