best insurer for engine swaps

as the title says! who do you think would give the best price for a mk2 8v that is now a 16v? i have heard some insurers will insure the car for the same price as an actual mk2 16v and others will rip you a new asshole

HIC quoted me something like 430 quid, Brentacre just over 600 quid. the excess with HIC was also aprox 150 less than Brentacre. Even if Brentacre are the cheapest come my renewal, i'll still be going elsewhere......
