taking car to 270bhp
« on: 08 November 2015, 20:44 »
Hi guys, i have a mk4 gti , its 150 standard and I've had it mapped to around 190 according to longlife. I'm thinking about taking it up to around 270 as I've heard i can get the ko4 turbo which will allow me to do so? Anyway if not could you point me in the right direction as to what I need next to get more bhp out of my car please.

Thanks in advancee

Hybrid your need
Injectors
FMIC
4bar fpr
Decent exhaust 3" turbo back
Intake pipe
Fuel pump 4bar+
Decent air filter

Ko4 your need the above and
Exhaust manifold
Custom down pipe
Turbo oil and water lines

Probably missed a few bits but your better with a hybrid and pretty much over 300ft-lb you need to forge your internals

Thanks for the reply, I already have an aftermarket exhaust on her from longlife so should that be ok? It's going to be a while until I can afford to do it just getting some info beforehand

You won't necessarily need a 4bar FPR, depends who will be mapping it

If a rebuild is necessary, would it not be better to start off with a BAM engine?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
