Title: just need a rough price.

ive been offered a mk1 gti just been resprayed in r32 blue with alloys on. i just wonted to know rough price on insurance before i think about buying one. im 21 mechanic 3 year no claim i drive a mk3 gti 8v which is insured by directline for abut 500 quid. im thinking off putting a 1.6 engine in it any idea martin

need to take a few more details to get an idea, pm me your number and i will give you a bell tomorrow to run through a quote if you like. If its a 2nd vehicle on low mileage it may qualify for classic insurance so should be pretty cheap.

sorry mate only got ya message 2day. yer i might run it as second car or maybe just have that one. im off to 2 c it at weekend so if it any good and im keen ill pm. i just wont to see how gud t is before i start geting in it to much

ive stuck a problem if i get that golf i need a second insurance with it becoz i got to keep the insurance wqith my other golf to get my no claim bonus as im about half way tho as my renewal date aint intill sept. wot can u do.

hi mate, like i said if it is a second vehicle it may qualify for Classic insurance so should be pretty cheap and ncb is not an issue on classic policies, the other option is short term cover we can do policies from 14days to 6months as well as annual.

nice one yer i might run it as a second car just for weekend use like so properly will have classic car cover. wot does that cum under that u only allowed to do a certain mileage our only 1 person allowed  to b on policy

and can i still get classic car insurance if it been modded. as wen my time up with directline i was thinking about moving to u if u can give me a gud quote

you dont have to be the only driver but on classic its usually cheaper if you are, Yes it has to be restricted miles of 7500 of less but ideally under 6000. Mods are fine on our classic policies.

nice one i dont get 6000 on my other gti so i shud b ok i am i wud say i wud b only person best to keep girlfreind of it lol

I can do temporary insurance but usually minimum of 14days cover tho, there are companies that offer 1 day insurance now tho. dayinsure.com? something like that.
