Had the car, 67 plate GTI PP, in again to the dealer to look at the rattling sunroof which now is rattling at all speeds on all road surfaces, all the time.
Young technician on test run was pushing and pulling components and looked under the sun visor stating that they were sometimes the problem with the mirror part of the visor vibrating off the light.
He said that there was a technical bulletin for the vanity light assembly to be changed for a narrower one which the visor doesn't reach.
Although this wasn't the cause of my problem they changed them anyway, they are a lot slimmer than the original.
Just a heads up in case anyone else is experiencing noises from around about there.
P.S at the present time it looks as if they have solved the sunroof problem also. They removed the glass and fitted 're-enforcers'. I did ask what and where these were but the guy at the collection desk had no idea and the mechanic was not available, said someone would phone me.
