if you put the bonnet back on will go faster, like drying to drive with a big air brake

i had my first drag racing experience at the weekend, didnt do that well.

I got a valver with proven 140bhp, though the clutch does slip an bit and it needs a new dizzy, but im sure its got slower lately.

Any way i did

17.524 and 10.39 to 60 too much wheelspin

17.018 and 9.73 to 60

shocking eh? car was full of crap but unsure what effect that would of had.

what you all think?

^^^ same as i ran at santa pod in my out of tune, smokey valver. although mine does have an extra ass to contend with, and sloppy linkages.

i fancy taking my trackday golf down the strip but i am a bit concerned about braking something!  i have heard that the tarmac is really grippy and it has a tendency to eat drive shafts and gearboxes.

with reference to what difference removing the interior makes...loads!  when we stripped our golf out we couldnt believe we could actually feel a difference.  everything is improved, acceleration, cornering, braking. interiors were made to be removed!
