Don't get me wrong, I love mine but I follow this guy in Instagram and I really think he's nailed the perfect looking GTi.... The black mirrors, dark wheels, black roof and splitter really work so well with the Tornado Red and just show a few tasteful mods can really enhance a car so much.

Funny colour red - very GTI indeed but red cars often seen as too much. I do like the subtlety of my Tungsten Silver and sets off the red details but there is something about a well detailed TR especially this one that I just think suits the GTI so well.

It’s one of those things I’m in two minds about.
The OAP in me thinks he’d have been better off getting a CS in the first place but the previous life me thinks he’s done a good job of personalising the car using a successful formula (ie. copying the CS!)
The Sparco(?) wheels look good.
The only thing I thought when looking at them before was if you clip a kerb you’ll not just damage the rim slightly but also possibly take a chunk off the edge of a spoke.
I like the white GTD(?) better in one of the group shots he’s posted up.
