Sorry to get all dull and practical but....

Does anyone out there have a 1.9 GTi TDI PD 150?

How many mpg do you actually get? & how hard do you drive it?

Holly Sh*t, do you really get that?

I have had mine for about 15 months now, and I never get that! Under normal driving then I get maybe 46mpg. That includes drive from St Neots to London (approx 60 miles) at 95mph average in the morning and return home again at approx 45mph average in the evening.

I always see a pretty good average if I sit at 80-ish on a light throttle, but I find as soon as I give it some big bootie or (especially) go into town, economy drops like a stone.

My fuel light usually comes on at 480-ish, and I start cacking myself if I haven't stopped at a garage by 530 miles.

PS, on the note of range, am I the only person that doesn't have a 'range function' on their trip computer? The passat has one, and they use the same computer, so I'm baffled that I don't have one.

I'm not alone on that then? Good!!

If the car knows how much fuel is in the tank, knows what your current MPG rate is then surely its simple maths to calculate a range? The Passat has it, thats what I can't understand - why did we miss out??!!

Half the functions on that trip computer are handy, rather than essential, and I for one would much rather have a range than something telling me how long I've been in the car! I already have one clock!

Crikey, I've had mine for a year and I'm like S11EPS getting around 45mpg with reasonably hard driving and a range usually just over 500 miles.  I suppose I could get 65-odd mpg but it would be a bit like driving miss daisy.
