fuel pump relay.
« on: 09 August 2010, 17:44 »
Hi im just wondering if the fuel pump relay can be intermittently broken if you get me??
my car (2E engine) bogs down when trying to take off from sitting at idle for around 20 seconds ie traffic lights but once driving it will be perfect??
the car backfires and is very hesitant when this happens.
ive changed plugs rotor arm dizzy cap general service so there all new.
also is the relay worth buying from gsf or only vw.
Thanks for replies

You could try to replace it as it's a common problem, same as the ECU relay.

The fuel pump relay is no 167 and ECU one is 30.

Get it from VW, they are around £10 each I think.
