18yo 1.8T GTI or 1.9 TDi?
« on: 26 May 2009, 14:37 »
Hi all!

I've been thinking of getting a Golf Mk3 / Mk4 for a while and have come to the conclusion that I'd like to go for a Mk4 1.9 TDi or Mk4 1.8t GTI.

Could someone possibly advise me on which option you think would be cheaper (and maybe which car you'd prefer)? I used a couple of comparison sites and they come up with completely different results.

I'm 18, and have had a full motrcycle license for a year (if that helps?).

Thanks!

1.9 Tdi would be loads cheaper mate, if you've got a years no claims, try c.i.s they'll insure you for around 2000.

You're nuts going for a car like that when you're 18. You must have money to burn.

Its only £350 excess :D Mines a 10 month bonus accelerator so that might be why its cheaper than others but also the area you live in makes a differance
