New but not new?
« on: 31 August 2005, 23:07 »
Hello,

Formal introduction from myself.

Located in the sunny? North east.

New to www.Golfgti.co.uk and very impressed.

Had 3 MK1's, 2 MK2's, 1 MK3 (tdi) dad has MK4 (tdi) and also cos I was gonna hire a skip bought a Passat B3 gt16v wagon.  So not new to dubs.  Oh and a 74 beetle! 5 years ago.

Currently own a mk1 that is now possibly past restoration, mk2 16v cos it had a broken engine and I'd just scrapped the B3 but kept its motor so aim to make the valver great again.

One day I'll get to use that valver if I can keep the wife at bay.  As for the mk1 is it ever too late?........

Oh introduced by Michael.  A good guy.  Thought I'd give im a mention, tho I know no more about him (bought some bits on ebay!).

I'm a bit thick though (unless its cos its nearly midnight!) how do I insert a pic of my terrible (sorry owner's with master pieces) two?

Thanks again Gtijoe

I'd somehow managed to beat you to the answer but its too late for my head to get around anything technical tonight!

I'll sort it soon though cos I'm still proud of my pair, us parents have to be, warts and all.

Jinx,

Good to hear a local(ish) voice.  I'm located in Chester-Le-Street.  See local ish!

oh and lovely welcome folks.  Feel like I've returned home without knowing I'd been away!

Think I've figured the picture thing.

Just waiting for approval then I'll be able to do the link thing and er 'voila' two backends of my pride and joy's.  (surely not that easy?)

See lucozade really does feed your brain.

Unless everything just seems easier when you've had your head stuck in the fridge.

Speaking of fridge, the valver is an 87 but is doing a fine impression of a 90 spec in appliance white.

Other one is an 83 1.8 in Lhasa/orange!

I'll be cruising shields soon dinx

Meantime keeping a low profile in my pinkish mx5 :embarassed:
