MK6 Seatbelt problem
« on: 06 July 2015, 16:54 »
Hi guys, new poster here but I've had the car over 2 years now. It's a MK6 Golf 1.4 TSI. In the last few months a very annoying issue has developed, basically my drivers seatbelt isn't recognising that it is plugged in. It will chime the alarm and have the light on the dash for the entire journey and its a complete nightmare. The seatbelt plugs in fine and it is always in properly, and theres no issues with any of the other seatbelts. If I push it in then it seems to be fine, so it would suggest theres a bit of movement within the seatbelt anchor? stopping a smooth connection between them. Any advice would be welcome please.

This happened with ours.  They replaced the affected front seatbelt buckle inserts apparently due to a faulty internal connection.  Problem never re-occurred snd that was about 1 year ago.
