Hiring a GTI Mk6 in California
« on: 17 July 2010, 20:29 »
Hey Everyone

I'm going to the US for a few weeks for work and need to hire a car. I'd like to hire a GTI (to help me cope with the separation anxiety of leaving mine) but I can't seem to find anywhere online that does a GTI.

Does anyone here have any suggestions/recommendations or done similar?

Appreciate any tips.

cheers

I personally found the worst thing i ever did was hire a car the same as i had because i kept banging my hand on the door panel  and having to remember to drive on the wrong side.

National sometimes had the 2.5l Rabbit as a rental option about 18 months ago when I was traveling to the states a lot of work.

I never found anywhere that had the GTI like we can get with Hertz's over here.

.... and they are so disgustingly enormous, that they are going to tip the earth off its orbit.
They idiots now blame the Brits for the oil spill even though BP is not a wholly British company and most of the sub contractors were Americans. Most Americans are a bunch of ignorant, fat, slothful, bigots and apologies for the human race! Special relationship is a one way thing. Their way. The sooner we become true Europeans the better. With friends like the USA who needs enemas.

Rant over.
