Title: Headliner removal
Post by: Dubbit on 14 August 2016, 18:09
Hi anyone removed a mk7 headliner before? The grab bars & sun visor is very difficult...think you need a special tool to remove, not like the mk6 atall.

The pliers are Release Pliers - VAS6427-

Dont think is possible to do without these tools ive tried.

Although it seems the same as the mk5 golf, where as the mk6 was a simple screw job.

Would be great if anyone's got any alternatives rather than ordering these tools as I should imagine VW will charge the earth if they are available.

Awesome stuff, saved them for inevitable future use. Thanks for posting them up.
