Car seem's to bouncey since i lowerd it!!

Hi since i lowerd my gold the back end seems fine but it the front end i have a prob with you hit a dip or a bump and it bouncers everywere back end sits fine i lowerd it 40mm front and back , its just not a nice ride looks good but not enjoying it if i can't stop the bouncing i will just put the outher springs back on .

Anyone got any ideas what it could be??

Try changing your front shocks for a set of decent uprated ones.

Try changing your front shocks for a set of decent uprated ones.

+1 if your running the old shocks I would suspect they have had it.

that may be it as i am still useing he old one's i'll get some new shocks over the next few days and see if that makes a diff

Sadly, it's a typical VW thing - under-damped suspension, and even when the car was new, fitting lowered and uprated springs meant the springs were too much for the dampers to control.
They won't have got any better over the last 14ish years!

Uprated dampers are the only way to cure it, as Joe says.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.
