i used 'no more nails' when mine fell off.. ( the proper branded one) worked a treat in the rain and snow  :embarassed:

The problem i can see with using sealant is that if you use it along the bottom of the sill covers the water will collect in the bottom and potentially cause more problems.

id sort the rust issue first matey,i took my side skirts off to check the sills and now have a welding bill for over 700 quid coz the trims were cocering a multitude of sins oh and the floor was rotten to ha ha


You could have bought another solid mk3 for that!  :shocked:
