It's funny you know but I've just realised, thanks to this thread, that whenever I'm driving a Diesel (some days at work) I drive it quite quickly but when I'm driving my Golf I try and coax mpg out of it rather than speed. I think my wires are messed up but at least I'm not paying for the Diesel.

It's a 140 TDI for me next I reckon.  :tongue:

Looks like Asker makes Captain Slow look fast.......Perhaps we ought to call him Corporal Slow :laugh:

I know mine was a MKV, but it did do a GPS 167mph (off the bottom of the speedo) on the Nurburgring :evil:

Only around 100mph max in mine I'm affraid. I'm to much of a bug wuss to go any faster + I need my driving  license thankyou :smiley:
