Hi there guys don't know if anyone else is interested in these things but there has been a good increase in 1/18 models of GTI mk6s on Ebay.

I've now ordered one in Tornado Red (my colour obv) so I'll confirm the quality in a couple of days. Most of them are German sellers it seems and the company behind the models is usually either Shuco or Norev. Both of which I believe supply the models to VW dealers for display cases.

I love my car collections at home (still a small boy ha ha) and like to buy a model of every car I own.

Just thought I'd stick this up in case it takes anyone elses fancy.

I would be interested to know how the model is. I was thinking of buying one for my little two year old...... get him into the German cars early  :smiley:

Do they do Candy White in the models?

I like collecting models for cars that I owned!
Thunder grey is a bit tricky to find!
Might need to pay someone to do a good respray! :rolleyes:

I had a look at one at the dealers. The thing i did not like was the one i looked at had a steel body coloured sunroof. (but im nit picking there  :grin: )

The models I am looking at are 1/18 accurate replicas... they might be a bit pricey for a 2 year old  :undecided: but as for your question I believe Candy white is available. At the start they were pretty much yellow or black but now tornado red and a few other colours are cropping up.

Pretty much except the model I'm getting is a 3 door with the tartan seats. I'll put up some pics when I get it  :smiley:

PenguinGTI.... Will you be getting your airfix paint out and painting the alloy wheels black?

Shall we buy Asker one so he can hand paint the bumpers 5 times.
