TANKY - mk1 GTI project
OK! so the story begins.............

After having numerous Jap turbos and RS's ive decided to go for a cheaper (hopefully) project, and as ive always been a lover of the MK1 golf, i thought, what the hell, ill snap one up before they become ridiculously priced (in the not to distant future i hope :undecided:)

After looking at loads of dogs, i eventually blindly bought a 1.6 1982 GTI with no tax or mot. by the looks of the photos i recieved, it was a pretty solid shell, and it had been MOT'd last year, but had only done 20 miles in the last 2 years.

Baring in mind i live in gloucester, i hooked up a trailer to my trusty mondeo estate, and made a 4 hour journey over to norwich to pick the car up, and bring it home. whilst in norwich, i checked the car over and all seemed sound, but obviously needed work.

Pics taken the day i picked it up, and safely home in gloucester
