I think most of us probably knew that

It does look blue on my computer too. I pray its just camera and lighting and VW are not doing a toyota and putting blue coloured dashes in blue cars. PLEASE NO!

Why no rubbing strip?!

I know the argument is it spoils the lines etc, but not half as much as a 'ding' in the side will spoil them and sooner or later that is what will happen.

I'm paranoid about leaving my Mk V where someone could park next to it and it's got rubbing strips!

I had a good look at a new MKVI Golf tonight (a TDI!), the dealerships over here are doing a "VW weekend", pushing the Golf, Scirocco and Passat CC.
The interior is definitely a step up quality wise, the front end is better looking than the standard front end on the MKV I think. Still not sure about the rear though and those lights. Overall though, its very similar to the MKV. Only the keen spotter would tell them apart!

One thing I did notice is that the Scirocco's interior is much closer to the MKV than the new MKVI, e.g. the new MKVI has a colour highline computer, new climate control knobs, etc, whereas the Scirocco's interior retains the same "red" computer and climate controls as the (now old!) MKV!

And in both cars, we've lost the lovely blue dash-lighting. It lights up white/red now, same as the Audi's.

MK8 GTI Clubsport. Reflex silver, Estorils, and a few other bits.
