Please help would a gear box oil change solve my shift issues as I struggle to get into second gear sometimes I got a mk6 golf gti 36000 miles if so what is the recommended oil grade?? Thanks.

It is more likely to be a gear linkage issue if the other gear shifts are OK with only 36k on the clock. Worth getting the genuine VW oil if doing a change as some of the others apparently can cause problems when the oil is cold on start-ups.
