Refurbishment of sun damaged plastic trim.
« on: 19 May 2017, 22:42 »
Greetings

I'm looking for the best solution restore or cover sun-damaged plastic trim around the whole car, big bumpers included.

Can anyone provide some advice on how to do this?

Many thanks

There's lots of products to treat this, hand down without a shadow of a doubt Gtechniq C4 is the best there is, Its a very tough & resistant coating too so will last a long while before re-topping up. If you cant stretch to that much then a decent tyre/trim gel would work well too if applied right. I've used Megiuars tyre gel from Halfords on trim before & it looks great.

I am spraying mine with Hammerite black stonechip. I did the sills because they were a right mess, and they now have a nice matt slightly textured finish, not unlike the how the plastic trim should look.

Will provide photos once it is done.
