Atlantic Blue surely is very similar to Lapiz Blue.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lapiz Blue... but you aren't getting that colour unless they stop doing it on the R...

Looks more like the old shadow / night blue to me.

Yes Atlantic blue seems to be like Night Blue. It looks different in different pics and my first thought/hope was that it was a lighter shade similar of Lapiz but sadly not. I've been wanting VW to do a lighter shade of blue on the GTD/I etc but sadly they still don't.

I've been wanting to get back into a blue car and hoped Atlantic Blue would be my next colour choice in a few years time but at the mo think it's between Isaac & Indium Grey personal.

I had high hopes for Atlantic Blue but think its maybe still too dark for me. Currently have a white GTD and fancy a change but White Silver likely my top choice at present or maybe Atlantic Blue if I get brave and go darker. Did like the old Night Blue in GTD and GTI but never owned it so don't know if swirls and marks would become too big an issue.

There's a few comments on here regarding white silver looking more like a grey primer finish.
I do like white but I didn't get the golf in white as the wife's scirocco is white.
There's also pics of a beetle on the threads in white silver not for me  ut may well grow in popularity

I've got an Atlantic Blue GTD on order. BW is 13/3, so only a few weeks to wait !

Agree that ideally, Atlantic Blue would be a little lighter, but had too many grey and silver cars over the last few years ... actually wanted a colour for a change ...... so either red or blue.

I'll post pics when it arrives.

To be honest though, every shiny new car looks great, no matter what the colour is. The main thing for me is how easy it is to keep it looking great, without having to wash it twice a week.
