Got round to sorting a few things that needed doing to pass MOT. Passed on Monday, retaxed and back on the road. Service light has come on in the last day so will be doing that soon too.

My main focus today, as the weather is lovely for a change, is cleaning the car and sorting out the horrible hazing on the headlights. As some may know the Bora has plastic headlight covers as opposed to glass and eventually just go crap.

My method to sort this was masking off around the headlights, then using wet and dry grades starting with 400, 800 and then 1200. I then used Autoglym Metal Polish as it is fairly abrasive, applied and buffed off. A little Autoglym SRP and then finished with some sealant. Here are the pics.

Money was my main issue but I sold a bunch of stuff I didn't need to help with the costs. :)

I had some spare time after work today so decided to "hard wire" my iPhone 5 cable from my headunit to where I usually keep my phone as it's annoying leaving my phone above the ashtray, what with all the rattling etc.

I know it's not technically great but it does the job and is as tidy can be with a front mounted USB ported headunit.
