MK4 Golf Project - CM690
« on: 07 July 2012, 21:59 »
Some of you may have read my Golf mk3 1.4 dub rides thread but it never really progressed a great deal :embarassed:

So anyway, will be selling the mk3 pretty soon and using this as my daily as it's been off the road for the last 4 months due to time and funds. Purchased the car for £650 with 73,800 miles on the clock but with no tax or mot due to the owner loser her job and then was unable to renew it's mot.

It has had all new brakes all round and a few other bits and bobs to get it through the mot and over the last few months had a few bits re-painted to smarten it up a little. I also got some monty 2's pretty cheap off a forum member and painted them black with red bbs centre caps (not fitted yet)

Here are some pictures from the advert when I first got the car

since then, it's had:

- Golf and 1.6 badges removed from tailgate
- Colour coded rub strips all round
- Colour coded door handles
- Colour coded front valance
- Colour coded diesel anni valance on the rear
- Monty 2's refurbed in black

As for mods so far I think that's it

Plans for this week when I get the car from the garage will be :

- Smoked side indicators off the mk3
- Red centre caps for the wheels
- Tinting rear lights red/US style not sure
- Painting the front and rear VW badges black (until I get the sharan badge)
- Yellow side lights in the headlights

and obviously, it will get lowered soon!

I think already, it looks a different car  Comments/suggestions welcome

A small update on this, got a sharan badge off Dazveedub and painted it up to go with my car.

Pleased with the results  Though worried about it fallign off the tail gate when I'm out driving
