AGG Third Party Immobiliser Help
« on: 17 June 2018, 22:00 »
So I am hoping to put a newly sourced AGG and loom into my VW campervan. I know I need the immobiliser unit / key / aerial and ECU to match but when I met the seller he said it had an after market immobiliser that was installed by a previous owner.

I have no idea why the previous owner did this, I am hoping the original one which is still installed is also working and that I can remove the aftermarket one.

I had a quick look and it only seems to be spliced into the ignition barrel part of the loom:

Is anyone familiar with this immobiliser? Does it work independently of the OEM?

It would be independent and can be bypassed by restoring original wiring.
