The CAR review is particularly good – http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/volkswagen/vw-up-gti-2018-review/

Does your dealer have a demonstrator yet?

Had sat in one at Frankfurt as wanted to see the Polo GTI and Up GTI and driven a few Ups.

I took a gander at one at a dealer yesterday so my wife could see it, my dealers arrives in next week.

I think it will be spectacular around multi story car parks

The Polo GTI is a cracking car, sort of spiritual to Mk5 GTI in terms of size and performance.

I was going to wait but just decided I would rather put the extra £10K over the UP GTI into my second car

Past = 2006 MK5 GTI - Tornado Red and Solid Black

It would be the Up for me.  It's quirky and the market won't be flooded with them by the looks of it and I reckon it will depreciate less than the Polo.

I hadn't realised that dealers had cars yet, I'll have to pop over to my local dealer and see when they are getting theirs. I almost bought my CS from your dealership but it had sold about an hour before my phonecall, I bought it from Chelmsford which I think is the same group?

Yeah same group, not every retailer has one but worth giving them a call and speaking to the new car sales manager because not all the sales people will know.

My wife said she wanted a smaller car. I said an UP GTI would be perfect for her. She replied UP yours!

She thinks UP is a silly name for a car.
