Another stolen GTI
« on: 30 September 2017, 08:43 »
Yupp, my car got stolen last night

Reckon thieves have been watching this one as we never heard a thing. They broke through the lean-to roof at the side of the house, broke the back door lock with ease (and we were told this was a high security lock - yeah right). Found the car keys in the front living room and also took a wallet. Exited the same way and helped themselves to the car which was on my driveway. Very well executed.

Thankfully we are all okay and what has been taken can be replaced but if anyone sees a Carbon Grey 5 door GTI with Silver BBS CK wheels, registration D5 PPJ in the area then give the Police a call    Oh, it was stolen from Liverpool.

Gutted for you mate
Reading things like this is what put my wife off buying a GTI CS.
It's all very depressing knowing the type of people who live amongst us.

Awful thing to happen, but thankfully you're able to tell the tale.

Hopefully these scumbags will come a cropper some time soon.

Thanks peeps

I know this type of theft is getting more and more prevalent and is very disheartening and doesn't encourage you to owning a decent car.

I am no so much bothered about the theft of the car as to the fact that they have broken into the house and invaded our privacy to get the car keys. Car can be replaced but the actual invasion of our sanctuary is more worryingsome. Just glad that I never heard anything otherwise there could've been a confrontation and who knows what would have happened then.

I have noticed that the support from you peeps on this forum is amazing at times like this.

You're the best

As soon as you see the title of these threads the heart sinks.  Really sorry to read this.  Very glad you and family are ok, but shaken no doubt. I hope these lowlifes get their comeuppance. And I hope the aftermath is not of great hassle to you.
