Buying a polishing machine?

Which would you recommend?

For less I'd look at DAS 6 Pro, a very tried, tested and well regarded machine.

Your second one looks like a rotary?  If so probably better choice if you have some machine polishing experience already???

Most dodo juice products are good, so I'm sure that polisher is too. With it being rotary though there is always the risk of burning/ damaging your paint. For this reason I always stick to a da. I got a kestrel DAS 6 as mentioned and find it more than enough when combined with the right pad/ polish.

Cyclopops, as you've said you don't have any precious experience of using a machine polisher, you'd be much better off getting a dual action (DA) polisher.

As MjrSharpe has said, there is a risk of burning through your paint wth a rotary polisher, especially in inexperienced hands. With a DA machine, I find there's very little, if any, heat build up between the pad and the paintwork, so paint burn-through shouldn't be a risk.

Echo what the others say.  If you have never machine polished before a rotary polisher is not the best introduction, due to the risk (in inexperienced hands) of a build up of heat and potentially burning through the paint.  On a rotary the head/plate rotates in a fixed orbit so if the pad is against the paint in one place for too long then heat can build up and this can lead to burning paint if not careful. With a DA the head/plate oscillates in a random orbit changing direction which massively reduces the amount of heat that is generated and thus significantly reduces the risk (to pretty much zero) of damaging the paint through burning.  Best to cut your polishing teeth with a DA.

Just bought my first DA polisher. It was a Katsu purchased from Amazon. It looks identical to one of the Sealey machines and the Argos Challenge Xtreme priced at £57.99. For half the price of a Das6 Pro I though it would do for a starter machine.
