I'm being assured it's 16 to 18 weeks.
What's the best way of getting a good price for my GTI in that time? What
Do people normally do? Get a dealer to agree on a price in 18 weeks time?
Or do you wing it and hope for the best nearer the time?

Thanks

There is absolutely no way anyone can guarantee that delivery timescale I promise you.

Not even if they are someone who orders cars all of the time - one can take 12 weeks and the next one 24. Its all to do with production planning at the factory.

As for your current car, I'd find somewhere, anywhere to sell it rather than to your supplying dealer. You won't be getting a good deal at all!
