My kayak could go on roof bars too. It's just an awkward lift. It is even possible to take 2. Though the paddles had to go in the car. The trailer is just a lot more convenient and will hold our 3rd kayak and paddles.

Also handy to have a small trailer for DIY and gardening. Yeah, so apart from biking, caravanning, kayaking, gardening and DIY - is tow bar is completely useless!

I currently have a detachable tow bar fitted, but the swing down will be better.

What about jet skis or a motorbike trailer, not everyone who has a toe bar has a caravan.

Oppss, sorry Boys! . I take the R any day!. But i had some demands when bought the new familycar

It must have a Tow bar!, is so much easyer than all the other clever bike mounts!. And i want to tow a Jetski and more..

Al the top of the line cars ( A45, 140, S3... ) i tried them all. They are great, but you can´t get them with a tow bar!!.

So under 2 years i have looked for the funnies and best familycar with a Tow bar.

I my conclusion is  GOLF GTI!!!!. It´s a awsome car! ....but the R is more awsome ( but not this time )..

Love the way the towing hook is integrated into the car like that.

It depends on how you define 'better.' Is 'more practical' better? The GTI can have that tow bar, has a bigger boot, will do more mpg, is cheaper to insure, has a smaller turning circle, less turbo lag, is lighter and therefore will have slightly sharper steering. I decided that all those things make the GTI a better daily driver for me.

However, the ultimate Golf is the Golf R. Being 4WD it has much better traction and is much, much faster.

It was a joke because you can't fit a tow bar to an R.
