Wow! One word; stunning.

I know what to aspire to when I next give my car the full detail treatment.
Stunning.

Thanks very much.  It's getting there.  Got one coat of wax on, left it to haze for 4 hours (Swissvax waxes have a very long hazing time) then buffed off.  Final coat to go on in the morning, couple of other bits and bobs to do then that's it.  Who wants to place bets on how long before it rains once the tent is down.

10 minutes....Do I win a fiver ??

Patience.  You don't win anything yet.....have to wait till tomorrow as that is tent dismantling day.

Looks amazing Rebecca. The tent is either brilliant or mental, depending on how many beers I've consumed when I look at it :undecided:
PS
What would you recommend to remove fine surface scratches from the annoying glossy black plastic between the front and rear side windows ?
I'm sure you have mentioned it in a previous post but can't find it

Some good shots outside of the cocoon needed now to see the final results

I need to get mine polished but I'm not sure yet whether this is encouraging or dissuading me :undecided: Too many opportunities for my impatience to get the better of me and cut corners....

Haha, finished a while back, been doing family stuff, cooking dinner and easter egg hunt in garden.  But back to detailing.....

Did the final bits today…

A second coat of Swissvax Best of Show, Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer on passenger front wing (just for Gary - Mainframe, lol).  Protection complete!   Lastly, applied Aerospace 303 on window rubbers to freshen them up, tailpipes polished with Mothers and tyres dressed with Achem Hi-Shine.  All done!

Final details…

Bit of trim attention

Buffing off final coat of wax

Then it was time to pack up the detailing tent and brave the elements once again.  The tent has been fantastic for the spring detail over 3-4 days.  It has rained twice during that time, not to mention tons of pollen blowing about, but car was kept out of harms way.  If I hadn’t used the tent I would have had to do several additional washes to get rid of overnight debris.  It was a bit of a weird purchase but so glad I did.

Packing up

Goodbye marquee!

And took some pic home and away….

Reflection shots

And now I'm having a lie down and rubbing copious quantities of hand cream into my stricken hands!

That's equally as good as any professional detailer could do Rebecca; fantastic attention to detail and the results are amazing. Without doubt, one of the shiniest DBP mk7 Golf R's out there!

Thanks SRGTD, very kind words.  Don't think it's quite up to pro standards, but very happy with it. It was a hard slog, but feels great knowing it's looking its best.

Thanks Peter. Hard work but worth the effort.
